TAFE Queensland helps international students to succeed! We are government owned and operated and, as Queensland's largest training provider, we deliver practical and relevant courses each year to thousands of international students.

Entry requirements

  • Students should be a minimum of 18 years of age. Student visa applicants under the age of 18 will be accepted where they demonstrate that they will be accompanied by a parent, legal custodian or a suitable relative who is aged 21 or over.   • Completion of Year 12 or equivalent; or,
  • Non school-leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies.
  • English language requirements: IELTS 5.5 (with no individual band less than 5.0) or TOEFL 530 or ISLPR 2+

If your application is successful, we will send you an Offer of Place letter. To accept it and secure your place in your chosen program, you will need to:

After you have accepted your Offer of Place, you will receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and with your CoE you can apply for your student visa. You will need to arrange your student visa before you come to Australia.

Please note that International Orientation day is compulsory. Students must attend the International Orientation Day before commencing their studies with TAFE Queensland.

Orientation

At the beginning of each semester we host orientation events across our locations so you can meet your teachers and classmates, get to know your campus, and familiarise yourself with your study schedule. We also throw in a bunch of free activities, because... why not? We like to have fun.
