Important Information

Study is structured into fixed intakes which have set durations (completion date is 12 weeks from the commencement date of each intake). Study can be commenced at the beginning of each intake, with dates as follows:


  • Study duration: 29/01/2018 - 20/04/2018


  • Study duration: 05/03/2018 - 08/06/2018

Students will be able to access the online course content from the first day of each intake.

Please refer to the course structure for detailed information on the units delivered in each intake.

Please note that you must be enrolled in order to access the online learning materials.


The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete 10 core and 3 elective units.  Upon successful completion of all 13 units you will receive a Certificate IV in Accounting.

For full-time study, three units in each intake are recommended. For part-time study, up to two units in each intake are recommended.

**Please note: If you wish to be eligible for FNS40215 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping as well as FNS40615 Certificate IV in Accounting, you need to complete the following unit: FNSBKG401 instead of FNSACC303.

Payment Plan

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.


The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.

Higher Level Skills Subsidy

You're eligible for the Higher Level Skills Subsidy if you:

  • Are 15 years or older and no longer in school
  • Live in Queensland full time
  • Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with the necessary visa or work permits
  • And don't currently have (or are enrolled in) a certificate IV or higher level qualification.
  • Other restrictions or eligibility criteria may apply


You are eligible for the concession price of a course if you are eligible for subsidised training, and are listed on an Australian Government Low Income Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, if you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, you hold a Department of Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession Card, or if you have a disability.
