Tourism and hospitality is Queensland's second biggest industry, worth $23 billion and employing more than 241,000 Queenslanders. Estimates suggest an extra 56,000 employees will be needed nationally to support the rapidly-growing industry by 2020. With recent announcements of exciting major high-end projects, including Queens Wharf in Brisbane and the Jupiters Hotel and Casino redevelopment on the Gold Coast, as well as upcoming major events, such as the Commonwealth Games in 2018, there has never been a better time to enter the industry.
