Resources required

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Students must have access to a CAD or Gaming quality machine. Minimum specifications can be found here. These specifications are a minimum. Ideally a minimum of Intel I7 machines or equivalent, 12GB Ram, 1Gb dedicated graphics. Windows machines are ideal as Autodesk programs are not available native to Mac (you may use a dual boot system however we will not be able to provide any support in this process and there are known glitches using this arrangement).

Autodesk programs (Revit & AutoCad) can be downloaded for free as an educational version. Adobe programs and Sketchup are available on campus however it would be beneficial to purchase a personal copy to assist completion of project work.
