Master the English language at TAFE Queensland Brisbane

TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services (TELLS) provides leadership, contract management and services to support the delivery of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) programme. These programs are funded by the Australian Government Department of Industry and delivered at TAFE locations across Queensland.

This qualification has no formal entry requirements, however all students are required to undergo an assessment interview to determine which certificate level they are best suited to enrol.

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Timetable

Full-time and part-time options are available for this course. Generally, you are expected to complete 20 - 25 hours per week as a minimum. Your study pattern will be determined in conjunction with a teacher during your pre-training and assessment interview. The length of time it will take to complete the course will be subject to individual needs and progress.

Additional costs

If you are not eligible for AMEP or SEE – students will be required to pay $270 per unit of study.
