Vocational Placement

Vocational Placement is an essential component of this qualification. Students will undertake 100 placement hours within a 9 month timeframe. Students are to source their own placement, in either a Primary or secondary school environment. If students have difficulty in finding a placement, TAFE Queensland Brisbane will assist. This placement will be in addition to class room activities and prescribed assessments. Students will be required to work the days determined by the placement provider. Students are expected to have in place strategies to manage family and work commitments in order to meet vocational placement days. Students will continue to be assessed against prescribed units of competency undertaken during their vocational placement.  If their assessment results are unsatisfactory they will be deemed not competent against those prescribed units.
