Entry requirements

This qualification has no formal entry criteria however TAFE Queensland Brisbane has the following selection criteria for this qualification;

  • Basic computer skills and access to a workplace in which to conduct training and assessment
  • Basic knowledge/experience in vocational education and training is an advantage
  • Sound literacy and computer skills

If you’re under 17 years of age, special enrolment conditions may apply.

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Units

The requirement for the completion of this qualification consists of competency in 7 core and 3 elective units. Upon successful completion of all 10 units you will receive a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

  • designing and delivering learning programs
  • planning and organising group-based learning
  • delivering training packages through managing, guiding and monitoring the learning process
  • planning assessment activities, measuring learning progression, and determining competency.

Payment Plan

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front, you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.

Subsidised

The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.

Certificate 3 Guarantee

You can receive a subsidy towards one certificate III qualification from a list of subsidised courses.

You're eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee if you:

  • Are 15 years or older and no longer in school
  • Living in Queensland full time
  • Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with the necessary visa or work permits
  • And don't currently have (or are enrolled in) a certificate 3 or higher level qualification.
