Entry requirements

Delivery is being planned for August 21, 2017 at South Bank and Redcliffe campuses, 1 day per week or 2 evenings per week.

This qualification has no formal entry criteria however TAFE Queensland Brisbane has the following selection criteria for this qualification;

  • Basic computer skills and access to a workplace in which to conduct training and assessment
  • Basic knowledge/experience in vocational education and training is an advantage
  • Sound literacy and computer skills

If you’re under 17 years of age, special enrolment conditions may apply.

Resources required

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Important Information

This program has been superseded by TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment endorsed 6 April 2016. TAFE Queensland Brisbane Region plans to deliver the new qualification on August 21, 2017.

Units

The requirement for the completion of this qualification consists of competency in 7 core and 3 elective units. Upon successful completion of all 10 units you will receive a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The areas of learning covered in our Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course include:

  • designing and delivering learning programs
  • planning and organising group-based learning
  • delivering training packages through managing, guiding and monitoring the learning process
  • planning assessment activities, measuring learning progression, and determining competency.

Orientation

At the beginning of each semester we host orientation events across our locations so you can meet your teachers and classmates, get to know your campus, and familiarise yourself with your study schedule. We also throw in a bunch of free activities, because... why not? We like to have fun.
