Unique Student Identifier

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From 1 January 2015 if you are undertaking a nationally recognised program at TAFE Queensland you will need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

This includes study of an apprenticeship or skill set, certificate or diploma course.

A Unique Student Identifier, which is made up of ten numbers and letters, gives you access to your own online USI account. It will look something like this: 3AW88YH9U5.

Your USI account will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from 1 January 2015 onwards. Your results from 2015 will be available in your USI account in 2016.

You can create your USI online at or with your permission we can do this on your behalf.

You must supply TAFE Queensland Brisbane with your USI in order to enrol or re-enrol in your course.

You will need to forward your USI onto us for processing. You can do this by emailing your name, student number (if known) and USI to or using the below form.
