Improve your OP with TAFE Queensland Brisbane

If you don't have an Overall Position (OP) or your want to improve the one you have, a TAFE Queensland Brisbane qualification can help you on your way to achieving your goals.

For example:

  • Certificate III equals an OP16
  • Certificate IV equals an OP13
  • Diploma equals an OP9 or OP10
  • Advanced Diploma equals an OP6

School alternatives

If you didn't finish school or get an OP score, but you now want to go to university, then the Adult Tertiary Preparation course is for you.

This course gives you the skills and knowledge needed to complete a diploma at TAFE Queensland or a bachelor degree at university.

You'll learn about:

  • technology
  • communication
  • teamwork
  • problem solving
  • initiative and enterprise
  • time management
  • self-discipline

It's completely independent of the school system but we do like you to have completed Year 10 or equivalent and be at least 18 years old, or turn 18 during the first semester, before you start.
